The BDC’s MSD Trash & Recycling Beautification Task Force is a subgroup comprised of members of the BDC’s Design Committee. The Task Force has been charged with completing work that is underway to beautify downtown by streamlining trash carts, trash cans, and dumpsters; eliminating sidewalk clutter to create a more walk-able downtown district. Additionally, the Task Force is beefing up the pedestrian receptacle program to include additional trash and recycling receptacles as well as installation of puppy stations, to ensure the sidewalks and streets of downtown Burlington remain free of debris and waste.
Meetings are held on an as-needed basis and occur with more frequency when project work requires Task Force discussion, deliberation, and decision making.
The MSD TRASH & RECYCLING BEAUTIFICATION TASK FORCE supports a community’s transformation by enhancing the physical and visual assets that set the commercial district apart.
