Hope for a Cure
Breast cancer awareness event. Hope for a Cure is a collaborative effort between Margaret's of Burlington and other community partners to bring the community together for the common purpose of raising breast cancer awareness. This weeklong event is twofold in its purpose; to raise awareness regarding the continued research for a cure and how that research is applied to the individual care a patient receives. Activities include a mixed doubles tennis tournament, the Tickled Pink Comedy and Musical Review at the Paramount Theater in downtown Burlington, and pink lemonade stands throughout town. As part of the event the community is invited to "Paint the Town Pink" with beautiful ribbons. All proceeds will benefit Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer and the Norville Breast Cancer Center of Alamance Regional Medical Center. For more information call 336-227-9866.
